There is nothing can make me doubt that Marvel Studios' Black Panther is the most anticipated movie release of 2018. In theaters February 16th, I might actually consider that it may be one of the most anticipated films of the decade, but we'll save that title for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity Wars (only because its been 10 years in the making). Likewise, there has been a ton of content out regarding Black Panther and I want the internet, creatives, and Marvel fans alike to keep that same energy all year round.

New Year, New Me, And I'm Looking Forward to A New Project
At times, as a creative, you push so hard and apply as much of your energy to a project and get excited when you see things blossom. You get excited when people start speaking about your project, when they start sharing it, and the best one: when someone approaches you saying, "hey aren't you that [person who does that thing]". That is, beyond a doubt, the utmost most enjoyable feeling we feel as creatives.
And then, there's that other feeling. That overall feeling of "what the fuck is this?" or why are you doing it this way. These are the draining feelings that we often are told to ignore, but should also evaluate every now and then.
These Are the Thoughts and Phrases That Enable You To Be the Worst Kind of You There Is.
For all posts related to Corporate American Horror Story, I want to make it very clearly known and understood that I am not some anarchist whose anti-establishment, or someone who wants to teach people to "overthrow the system". Instead, I want people to become more self-aware of the things they become as do just that: "become part of the system". I can speak to any hiring manager and can hear them say that one of the biggest things they're looking for in potential candidates is someone who is a free thinker. Someone who isn't going to wait to be told what to do, but instead take the reigns and take action.
Independent thinkers, though, are always a double-edged sword, but it really comes down to a number of factors that have nothing to do with this post. So, instead, we'll focus on thoughts and mindsets, and work to break ourselves out of the habitual ways of thinking that stifle us, and put us on the conveyor belt of thoughts. For anyone thinking of becoming an entrepreneur, or small business owner, this is increasingly important because you are building your system. Without the right mindset, you're probably not building anything worthwhile. Whether You're Looking To Dive Into A Career, Or Venture Off Into Being An Entrepreneur, It's Time To Stop Being The Bare Minimum. In the introductory post, "A Preface To Being A Year Removed From Corporate America", I made a pretty strong statement that I want to revisit. "We go through about 20 years of our lives being either handed a schedule or given the stencil of a schedule."The first thing I want to point out is that the purpose of my Corporate American Horror Story tweets is not to tell you how God-awful working in corporate America is. I don't want to remotely sell you the idea that I'm being a revolutionary who wants you to sink the corporate ship by walking out of the office on a random Monday. Instead, I'd like to encourage you to first, change how you think of yourself in the place and space that you occupy. Second, I'd like to let you know that our generation (specifically Millennials) takes too much time suffering in certain situations. So be blessed, or take in a good lesson.
These Are the Things Your Nightmares Are Truly Made Of.
It's crazy that as I look back on the last year, I hardly noticed until a recent conversation, that I haven't had a corporate 9 to 5 job since August 5th of 2016. Most people's first reaction to hearing that is to congratulate me. In fact, among peers that's always the first reaction I get. And then I dive in more into why people actually shouldn't rush to following up with, "Everyone is trying to be like you" or "Man, that's really goals". Sure, I know everyone wants to break the cycle of monotonous working until you're 65, but the truth is, we're simply not taught how to break that cycle, and therefore, tumble into very painful trial and error that most people don't ever survive. Am I lucky? No, I am a product of more errors than trials.
To understand how I've managed to get through the past year, I have to take you back to 2014. When I could already tell that post-graduate life, and entering the work force was nowhere near as cool, fun, and educational as we all had thought it was.
Originally, I imagined that turning 25 would be a challenge because of the good ol' saying from Kanye West: "We weren't s'posed to make it past 25, jokes on you, we still alive". I'll say this much, though, I barely survived 25. I mean, I lived to see another two years, but the struggling transition into what I call Second Puberty was rough. In addition to that increasing struggle, I began to feel as though the molding of The Man was void of a father figure. In fact, more than ever, I felt as though that void could finally be closed forever.
