Kasumba: "I hope everybody can say they have the feeling that they're being represented out there"2/14/2018 As we creep ever so much closer to the release of Black Panther, I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with German Ugandan actress, Florence Kasumba, who picks up with her role as Ayo in the film. We might remember Kasumba from Captain America: Civil War with her iconic introduction of the Dora Milaje with "Move, or you will be moved". Courtesy of OkayAfrica, our interview, spanning no longer than 25 minutes features insight to Black Panther's infectious excitement, which, according to Kasumba, was also felt on set. Check out my latest, now available and fresh off the press at OkayAfrica. Florence Kasumba on the Impact of Black Panther: 'We're Telling a Story That Hasn't Been Told Before'

There is nothing can make me doubt that Marvel Studios' Black Panther is the most anticipated movie release of 2018. In theaters February 16th, I might actually consider that it may be one of the most anticipated films of the decade, but we'll save that title for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity Wars (only because its been 10 years in the making). Likewise, there has been a ton of content out regarding Black Panther and I want the internet, creatives, and Marvel fans alike to keep that same energy all year round.
Fun Fact: Lent is a season celebrated to commemorate the 40 days Jesus Christ of Nazareth spent in the desert. In Matthew 4:1- 11, Jesus is tempted by Satan in the desert, making requests for him to use the powers of God to manifest food, water, and to send Angels to his aide if he jumped off a building (or cliff). Lent, then, is our chance to win over temptation.
You don't have to be affiliated with a church, or religion to recognize the coming of Lent. In fact, cultures across the world have widely come to embed the season of Lent into their traditional practices. For example, Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday is a celebration of the feast before Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of Lent according to Church calendars. Carnival season in islands such as Trinidad & Tobago, are also linked to the coming of the season. Lent is widely recognized across countries with Christian backgrounds. So, if someone asks you, "What are you giving up for Lent", what will you say?

Hey, fam. In hoping that my blog offers a unique and insightful look into how I manage my lifestyle for entertainment, blogging, podcasting, and events. From time to time, I do want to give some tips and provide some information about certain things to help others out there that might be struggling with getting the creative juices flowing.
I use a lot of apps. In fact, I have to emphasize that even more. I use a lot of apps. I've test-driven apps, tried beta versions, given feedback to developers, and have enjoyed life in an easier sense because of this. So, because I use so many apps, I am attached to my phone at the hip (literally) and therefore have grown widely accustomed to having my phone in hand. Enter: Quality Time App In my quest to develop a sound blog for my readers, I've come across quite a few other sites focused on helping and providing some developmental advice for readers. Many of these sites succeed at drawing in not only the attention of readers, but also their loyalty. But is it ever enough?
As stated in my latest Niume post, I've come to question if we - the readers of said blogs - are really getting our fix and our itch scratched reading advice blogs. We've subscribed, we've read, and we've applied what we can. And that might be the problem: we're applying what we can, rather than applying all of what is being delivered to us. The relationship between subscribers and writers becomes strangely conflicted immediately when "4 Ways To Manage Your Time Better" suddenly becomes a PinkMonkey synopsis of what seems like a penny pinch of advice. So, here's my angle and thoughts on this conflict. |
