When Your Schedule Is Crazy & Hectic, Enjoy It!*I'm never one to go crazy over the events that are happening around me. I mean, after all, I've been through some trying times, right? I've given my time to unnecessary, unneeded, sometimes even required things, and all I've ever walked away with is a lesson on organizing my life. I start this out that way to open up and say that life is going absolutely crazy, but sometimes this is what makes us comfortable. Knowing we got a lot of shit going on. But I'll be honest, it might feel that way or even seem that way, but it's typically just perspective.

Looking back now, I have come to realize that my experience at The University of South Florida was extremely unique. I was probably one of the last individuals who, as a freshmen, walked the halls of the Phyllis P. Marshall Center - you know, with the Underground and the SEC, and the dingy carpets. The one that connected straight into the bookstore. Yeah, that one. I watched the tearing down of the Olde Marshall Center (yes, with the ‘e’ because...antique). But in a similar light. I watched the rise of Juniper-Poplar. I witnessed three head coaches of the football team. These things sound trivial at first because everyone had their own experience as an undergrad, but somehow I seem to have really felt jammed in the middle of two very large transitionary periods for the community.
Side Hustlers' Anthem: Time Management Is Always Easier Said than done, But As I See It, It's About What's Comfortable.
You've probably seen me mention it a few times if you follow me on Twitter, but this past Lent i ended up giving a lot of things up. For one, the first and most important was coffee. But right around March 11, after a hosting gig in Sarasota, I decided I'd probably test how giving up meat (and meat products) would effect me. I did some research on a couple of different diets including the infamous Dr. Sebi diet, and what I noticed was that a dramatic lifestyle change would have to take place in order for me to even attempt such a thing. So, instead, I took heed to the pescatarian diet (fish proteins and vegetables only). Changes? Plenty. And I'll even give you reasons as to why I'm likely to never go back to eating meat.
Greetings, MarvelMob. I've been a little distant from my blog as of lately, and I know that seems a bit out of character. To be honest, I've been going through a number of transitions in my life and it has had my mind in the fray. I'm moving at nearly 3,000 mph and still managing to get more than 4hrs of sleep. But ya'll know how anxiety works. It now has me pondering like are you tired? Maybe 4hrs is a little too much there, buddy.
Likewise, I've noticed I've been off my game lately, so I have tons on tons of things to talk about. So, here are updates right from my brain. And as usual, subscribe to this blog page for updates, information, and more to come!
That's right! Yours truly returns to the GoodKnocking Radio airwaves for Marvel&Friends this Monday, April 17th, 2017 at 8:30pm. This opportunity to once again bring this interview-based show gives me a chance to bring some of the biggest names from Tampa and around the Bay area. If you tuned in last season, you heard some dope interviews, but this season we are cranking it up. To crank things up, though, we're bringing the show live each and every Monday at 8:30pm and I'll honestly tell you why.
The above tweet that went out early this week has been churning in my mind for quite some time now. Based on a simple Twitter, I was able to somewhat streamline my blog focus for the folks who wanted to hear some insights, more maybe inspiration - or motivation - about having a job and a side hustle.
I'll be honest, though, folks. Nothing I say can garnish results. None of what is going to come from this particular blog is going to be of so much substance that you smack your boss in the job with a keyboard and walk out our your day job. Nope. What it will do, though, is motivate you to get your eternal shit together. This new series, Side Hustlers' Anthem is going to run down the creative and productive aspects of getting your creative juices flowing, as well as include some testimonials from my own experiences. Take from it what you can. |
