A statement on GoodKnocking Entertainment Group's Recent Announcement on The Knockturnals, Our Radio Now, and More.
This past weekend, GoodKnocking announced the opening and repurposing of our Knockturnals. If you've been keeping up with us, you're probably already familiar with the term Knockturnal (which was introduced in 2014, a phrase coined by one of our guests). Originally, it represented our listeners, who would wait up until 10pm to tune in to our show. The term had been fitting, and was branded on our newsletter, shirts, and more. Sadly, we weren't exactly sure it resounded with our audience now that our station is 24/7 and even my show, Marvel&Friends, airs at 5pm in the afternoon. There was an untapped group that needed both the representation and the highlighting.
The first group we're looking to organize are bloggers. By organizing contributors and featured contributors, the idea is to establish a far-reaching directory of content that not only allows aspiring writes to be published online, but allows provides the stepping stones for growing an audience, voice, and experience. I know of many people who are currently struggling to establish their brand, and struggling even more when it comes to building and keeping a blog. It's tough. It's pain-staking, but the biggest problem many people face is they're trying to do it alone. In group environments, people are exposed to new ideas, and can collaborate for better content development, and to brainstorm on their own.
In my experience, I know that these things don't happen. They don't happen often because when we don't collaborate, we're most comfortable competing. So, I encourage everyone to look into this opportunity, and to fill out the form below for GoodKnocking's Online Contributor program.
There will be future updates on what's next to come. GoodKnocking Entertainment Group will be doing an extensive expansion program to provide these opportunities. On behalf of GoodKnocking, I encourage everyone to take part in this, and to grow in their own craft. We're not looking to take you away from your work, but instead looking to put you in collaborative spaces that are mutually beneficial. For more info, visit the GKNET website.
